Tidy Up Together Item Categories

The fourteen official product families Malum published with The Big Tidy patch.

Item Categories

Players search for a Tidy Up Together item list because other tidy games ship a spreadsheet. Until mid-August 2026 this wiki could only name families from store copy and reviews. v1.05 (The Big Tidy) changed that. Steam news published fourteen Leviathan group counts that match the live store-page claim of 14 categories. This page is now that table, plus how to use it in co-op.

Older marketing and the demo page said 12 categories in the full game. Treat that as pre-table copy. The live number is 14. The patch notes page quotes the full post.

Official 14 categories (Leviathan group counts)

These names and multipliers come from the v1.05 Steam news post. The multipliers are Leviathan shelf-group counts, not total item tallies for every shop.

Volume spikes: Plants (x11) and Sushi (x10) are the long wings. Assign them early in multiplayer so nobody discovers them at hour twelve.

Quick wings: Toys (x2) and Books (x3) are good warm-ups or cleanup jobs for a tired friend.

Steel and fabric: Weapons (x4) and Clothes (x5) are the fantasy shop joke made concrete — greatswords should not share a pile with cheese.

Wyrmling and Dragon use the same families at smaller counts. The demo still exposes only three categories in its unique shop; see the demo guide.

How to sort with the table

Matching still follows how to play: green silhouette, type shelves, no unique cubby planogram. The table does not invent barcode order. It tells you which named piles exist so your group can claim wings out loud.

A practical Leviathan split:

  1. One player on Plants + Fruit & Veg.
  2. One player on Sushi + Meat + Cheese + Bread + Pastries.
  3. One player on Potions + Crockery.
  4. One player on Weapons + Statues + Clothes + Books + Toys.

Solo players should still pick a family and refuse to leave that wing until it is honest. Crossing the building with a mixed stack is how 20 hours becomes 30. The Leviathan walkthrough repeats that rule with the post-v1.05 shelf fix in mind.

Color, hitboxes, and find tools

Potions, cheese, and fruit share warm tones. Turn on Color Alternatives from controls before you decide two families are identical. Tight grab volumes are still real; how to find items covers aim and highlight skills.

What we will not copy from other games

Mall: Tidy Up Together publishes mall stores. Librarian titles sort by call number. Those lists are not this game. Do not sort greatswords by ISBN. Do not wait for an auto-shelf button a different studio named elsewhere.

If a later patch renames a row or adds a fifteenth family, update this table the same day you update patch notes. Until then, hunt by the fourteen names above and spend coins so you can carry a whole family at once with the ability planner.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is there an official full category list now?

Yes for naming. v1.05 published fourteen Leviathan group names and counts. Steam's store page already said 14 categories.

Do the x11 and x10 numbers mean item totals?

No. They are group counts for Leviathan shelves from the v1.05 news post, not SKU totals for every shop.

Does the demo include every category?

No. The demo page still says three categories in a unique smaller shop.

Can I use another tidy game's category list?

No. Mall, Megastore, and library tidy games are different products with different rules.
