Tidy Up Together Launch Week
What Malum posted before launch, what buyers said, and the hotfixes that followed within three days.
Tidy Up Together launched on Steam on 14 August 2026. The first forty-eight hours mixed two pre-launch community posts, a tiny early review sample, and an introductory price dated through 21 August. By 17 August the studio had also shipped four numbered hotfixes. This page is the launch-week story. The full changelog lives on patch notes.

Official Steam posts before and at launch
Demo Release & Customization. Author on the post: Ducati. The demo went live. The studio asked for feedback in Steam Discussions and on Discord (https://discord.gg/VwPPdWetMC). The same note added character customization: different outfits and outfit colours. Details live on the outfits page. No skill numbers were attached to clothes.
The Leviathan Approaches. Posted on the eve of launch. The in-fiction wizard “found your other shop,” the Leviathan Store, and “9,514 items have been launched into the air.” That number still matters. The live store page says almost 10,000. Developer news uses 9,514 in the studio’s own voice. Treat 9,514 as the official Leviathan count until a later note changes it. The post also said the demo had a brief dungeon / outage and was live again, with apologies, and that launch remained 14 August.
Hotfixes that rewrote the first week
Launch-day v1.02 fixed coin earning, shortened cooldowns, and repaired the no-abilities achievement grant. v1.03 (The Coin Fix) made coin restores after map reload retroactive and trimmed ability costs. v1.04 added carry-bob and particle comfort options and raised the Dragon timed achievement to 3 hours. v1.05 (The Big Tidy) restored Leviathan shelf groups and published the fourteen official group counts. Read the numbered list on patch notes and the table on item categories.
Do not treat an older mirror of this page that said “no balance patch” as current. Those sentences were true on 15 August before the news feed filled in. They are not true now.
What the store page said around launch
The full-game page lists 3 levels of varying sizes, 650 / 2,500 / almost 10,000 items, 14 categories, three shops. Older demo marketing said 4 levels in the package and 12 categories. Those two sentences can both be true if you count the unique demo shop as a fourth level that is not a full-game campaign floor. The demo guide explains that split.
Introductory pricing on the live page: $5.99 list, $5.39 during the launch discount, offer end dated 21 August. Press in July had floated a $5 figure. Pay what Steam shows at checkout. Bundles with Toys Shop Tidy Up, Tidy Mart, and Konbini Cleanup appeared beside the product — separate apps, not DLC. See similar games.
First-week Steam reviews
Mid-launch week, Steam purchaser reviews sat in Mostly Positive territory on a sample of roughly eighty reviews (about 78% positive on that cut). Broader samples climbed near Very Positive as more reviews landed. That is still a young score. Treat it as a mood, not a forever grade.
Praise that repeated: cozy and relaxing; medieval / shop music; pet the cat; cartoony art; outfits; three charming shop sizes; highlight and auto-grab; bug-fix reports after the coin patches; price. One long English review called Leviathan a friendship test at about 9k items and said auto-shelf is not in this game.
Complaints that repeated: ability points feel slow (partly eased by v1.03 cost trims); no dedicated unique slots; tight pickup hitboxes; motion discomfort for some first-person players (v1.04 now offers a carry-bob toggle). Use Camera Comfort and the new options on controls.
What is still missing
No published full numerical skill tree beyond what players see in-panel. No Mac or Linux build. No extra client language. No redeem codes. No auto-shelf. Those gaps remain after v1.05.
When another patch lands, update patch notes first. Until then, play the three shops, spend coins on the upgrade order, invite people before Leviathan, and use the official group table when you split wings.
